From a scientific point of view, ISAE’s research activity is organised around lines of research specific to a training and research department or can be cross-disciplinary with respect to ISAE and thus resulting from the joint work of several departments.
The cross-disciplinary of transverse lines are as follows:
Micro-drone
Line of research into aerodynamics, propulsion, electronics and control.
Mathematical models and numerical algorithmics for the simulation of physical phenomena
Line of research co-ordinating works on simulation digital models and methods for physics and engineering, to which the two departments of mechanics contribute alongside mathematicians.
Embedded systems
Mainly concerns the two departments where studies in physics, electronics, and signal processing are developed on the one hand and information technology and systems control on the other.
Communication networks
Integrating studies covering all protocol layers of communication architectures going from the physical layer to the application layer.
System approach for university competitions
Concretises the Institution’s support for students to take part in university competitions like the French and European E = M6 Robotics Cup or the Shell-Eco Marathon challenge.
